With a Ph.D in the biological sciences and extensive and diverse experience of scientific research and applied science, Dr Bell has an in depth understanding of science in general and the biological sciences in particular. This is particularly useful in helping students learn the skills needed for answering questions on the interpretation of scientific data, which are becoming increasingly important in exams. He has more than five years experience of tutoring A-level Biology, with satisfied customers benefiting from his tuition for more than an academic year, and going on to achieve their goals such as entering medical school. A qualified teacher, he is currently teaching A level and GCSE Biology in a school.  He specialises in the OCR and AQA A-level Biology syllabus.

As a former A-level Biology examiner, he has a good understanding of the way the examination process works, which is invaluable knowledge for students. He has been briefed by an exam board on the changes in specification starting in the 2015/2016 school year.

Mrs Bell is a qualified ESL teacher with years of experience teaching foreign students and school children the skills required to master academic subjects in English.

She was the coordinator of the ESL program at the American International School in Rabat Morocco for 11 years where she organised and taught classes from beginner level to proficiency for students of all nationalities from aged 10 to 18.The classes offered were in History and Literature, Writing Reading and Study Skills, their goal being to support the regular school class objectives and to enable ESL students to be successful and confident in them.

Mrs Bell will work with you to support you and develop your English to meet all your needs in the regular classroom in the subjects of English and Literature, History and Geography and the Humanities where a high degree of fluency and accuracy are required. She will teach you good writing technique - the most difficult skill to master in English - so that you can write essays and compositions and be successful in exams. Reading skills will also be taught to enable you to read long texts in complex English with confidence and understanding.
